On the third Wednesday of every month, Second Helpings transports orders to two of our agency partners - Creative Church and Sandalwood Community Food Pantry.
Volunteers serve as a driver and crew member, traveling to the Lowcountry Food Bank in Early Branch, SC to pick up the orders then deliver them. Each route requires one driver and one crew member (signed up separately).
This is a meaningful, team-based opportunity to help support our local agencies.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves light to moderate physical activity. Volunteers should be comfortable getting in and out of a truck, lifting and moving boxes, and working on their feet for periods of time. Some cases may weigh up to 30–50 pounds.
