Fresh Produce Distributions

Second Helpings is a nonprofit food rescue organization dedicated to eliminating hunger across the South Carolina Lowcountry. Since 1992, we’ve partnered with grocery stores, retailers, farmers, and community donors to rescue fresh, healthy food that would otherwise go to waste.

Through our Healthy Food Initiative, we purchase fresh produce and lean proteins to supplement the rescued food we distribute to our local partner food pantries. We are in need of volunteers to help sort, pack and distribute these items through our various opportunities.
